The White House has announced that President Barack Obama will decide "fairly soon" on the number of American troops to withdraw from Afghanistan this July, reports Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
In December 2009, the president ordered extra U.S. forces to Afghanistan, bringing the total to 100,000 troops. Plans were also set for a July 2011 drawdown.
