The Indian air force is considering how it might use air power in operations against internal insurgents, reports the Calcutta Telegraph.
The Center for Airpower Studies is scheduled to hold closed discussions on the topic on April 30.
The air force has said it will not conduct air strikes against internal threats, although it has deployed two additional Mi-17 helicopters to Dantewada for casualty evacuation and troop transport missions.
