Afghan officials have announced that the top Islamic State commander in Afghanistan has been killed in a U.S. airstrike, reports Reuters.
Hafez Saeed was the leader of the Islamic State's so-called "Khorasan state," said Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Saturday.
U.S. officials said they doubted the reports of his death, reported NBC News.
