Deal Unveiled For 65 F-35 Fighters

Canada's Defense Ministry says it will buy 65 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters from Lockheed Martin for about Can$9 billion (US$8.5 billion), Bloomberg News reports.
"This multi-role stealth fighter will help the Canadian forces defend the sovereignty of Canadian airspace, remain a strong and reliable partner in the defense of North America, and provide Canada with an effective and modern capability for international operations," said Defense Minister Peter MacKay.
