Deal For Sidewinder Air-To-Air Missiles Being Considered In Washington

The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency has informed the U.S. Congress that Oman hopes to buy dozens of air-to-air missiles from the United States.
The proposed US$86 million purchase covers 55 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder all-up round missiles; 36 AIM-9X Block II captive air training missiles; six AIM-9X Block II tactical guidance units; four AIM-9X Block II captive air training missile guidance units; one dummy air training missile; and related equipment.
