The Thai government has requested a three-phase mid-life modernization from the U.S. for 18 of its F-16 fighters, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The possible deal, worth up to US$700 million, would cover the upgrading of F-16A/B Block 15 aircraft.
The three-phase program would involve the upgrade of six aircraft in each three-year phase. Each phase would overlap by one year.
