Deal Moves Forward For 32 Hawk Trainers For Air Force, Navy

The Indian government is expected to approve the purchase of several dozen Hawk Mk 132 jet trainers for the air force and navy, reports the Economic Times (India).

The anticipated US$526 million contract will cover 32 more Hawk trainers. India already operates 123 of the jets.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), which builds the aircraft under license, is expected to receive a contract within months, unnamed sources told the newspaper.
