The U.K. Ministry of Defense has reportedly made a deal with the U.S. Marine Corps for Harrier jump jets, cut following last year's strategic defense review, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
The majority of 40 serviceable Harrier GR7 and GR9 fighters will be sent to the United States under a 34 million pound (US$55 million) deal, officials said.
The British aircraft are expected to be used for parts to service active U.S. Marine AV-8B Harriers, according to the paper.
