Deal Made For Russian-Built Corvettes

Algeria has signed a deal with Russia's United Shipbuilding Corp. for two new Tigr-class corvettes, RIA Novosti reports.
The agreement was signed during the ongoing International Maritime Defense Show in St. Petersburg, said a company official.
The company also signed an agreement to sell three light Molniya missile corvettes to a former Soviet republic, said the official.
The two contracts are said to total US$1.3 billion.
