Deal Made For Prototype Armored Scouts

The British Ministry of Defense has signed a 500 million pound ($759.56 million) contract with General Dynamics U.K. for the demonstration phase of seven prototype Scout armored fighting vehicles for the army, the Wall Street Journal reports.

General Dynamics will supply the variants of its ASCOD SV vehicle for the program. Testing is expected to begin by 2013.
