Deal Made To Modernize 68 F-15s

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing a major contract to upgrade Saudi Arabia's fleet of F-15 fighters, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The US$1.8 billion contract covers development, integration and testing of upgrade kits for 68 aircraft to bring them to the F-15SA configuration. Four base stand-up kits will also be supplied.
The work, to be completed by Dec. 31, 2013, is being performed as part of the Foreign Military Sales program.
