Deal Finalized For Used Australian Hornet Jets

The Canadian government has finalized a deal to purchase 25 second-hand fighter jets from Australia, reports the Ottawa Citizen.
The Can$90 million (US$67 million) sale includes 18 F/A-18 fighter jets for the armed forces and seven for testing and spare parts, said Pat Finn, the assistant deputy minister for material at the Dept. of National Defense.
The first two aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in the spring, with the balance to arrive by the end of the year, Finn said.
