More than a dozen were killed and scores injured when a car bomb exploded Thursday in a market in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia, in Russia's North Caucasus region, Bloomberg News reports.
The blast took place in the morning near the entrance to the market, said a spokesman for the local prosecutor's office.
A suicide bomber apparently carried out the attack, investigators said. An investigation has been opened into the "act of terror."
