Scores of people were killed Monday when a female suicide bomber blew herself up among Shi'ite pilgrims on the outskirts of Baghdad, the New York Times reports.
At least 41 people were killed in the blast, and more than 100 were wounded, police said. The death toll is expected to rise.
The attack took place near a food tent in the Bab al-Sham district, security officials said.
