Two rebel leaders from Sudan's Darfur region appeared at the International Criminal Court in the Hague on Thursday to face war-crimes charges, the BBC reports.
The rebels are charged in the deaths of 12 African Union peacekeepers in 2007.
Abdallah Banda Abakaer Nourain and Saleh Mohammed Jerbo Jamus surrendered to the ICC on Wednesday. Charges against a third rebel, Bahr Idriss Abu Garda, were dropped due to lack of evidence.
