Seeking to minimize casualties, the Danish military has quietly altered its strategy in the Gereshk region of Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, reports the Copenhagen Post.
Danish forces will no longer actively pursue Taliban forces in the Upper Gereshk Valley, but will focus on protecting the inhabitants of the town of Gereshk, said Col. Lennie Fredskov, the Danish commander in Helmand.
