Cyber Weapons Seen Analogous To Other Military Options

A top British official says the U.K. has launched a cyber-weapons program that could be used against other countries, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
Nick Harvey, the armed forces minister, told the paper that cyber-weapons are now "an integral part of the country's armory."
Other officials noted that the U.K. needs a range of offensive options and not just defensive measures to protect critical services and government departments that are frequently targeted by hackers.
