Cutter Waesche In Line For Structural Enhancement Within Months

The U.S. Coast Guard says it has exercised a contract option with Vigor Marine, headquartered in Portland, Ore., for a structural enhancement drydock availability (SEDA) for a national security cutter.
The $14 million deal covers structural enhancements designed to prevent long-term fatigue damage, said a service release on July 14.
USCGC Waesche, a Bertholf-class vessel, is scheduled to arrive at the Seattle shipyard in September. Work is expected to last for a year.
