Cuts To Territorial Army Draw Fire

The British government is reconsidering a plan that would have cut 20 million pounds (US$32.6 million) from the training budget of the reserve Territorial Army, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
The potential reduction has come under severe criticism, and scores of reservists have threatened to leave the force, which is already short 6,000 personnel.
The Territorial Army provides between 6 and 10 percent of the troops deployed in Afghanistan.
