Cuts Coming To Defense Spending

France's Defense Ministry is expected to make cuts of 3.4 billion euros ($4.26 billion) between 2011 and 2013 as part of a government-wide effort to reduce public spending, said a source cited by Agence France-Presse.
The proposed cut would be about 4 percent of the total defense budget, not counting pensions, the source said. The budget was previously projected at 95 billion euros ($118.92 billion).
