Current Cease-Fire For U.S. Facilities Could Expire Soon, Says Lawmaker

A lull in rocket and other attacks targeting U.S. troops and diplomatic installations in Iraq may soon expire, reports Agence France-Presse.
On Wednesday, member of Parliament Ahmed Al Assadi said that a truce could end as soon as Nov. 3, the date of U.S. elections, or until the end of the year.
Either way, the current cease-fire is not open-ended and is merely intended to allow politicians sufficient time to negotiate a withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, said the lawmaker. ...
