The head of the Russian-based Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) says the group will send security advisers to Kyrgyzstan to help the interim government deal with ongoing violence, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The Kyrgyz government sought a peacekeeping force, but the request was turned down by the CSTO.
