American military teams and intelligence agencies are engaged in clandestine joint operations with Yemeni troops against Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the Washington Post reports.
The operations, said to have been approved by the White House and begun six weeks ago, involve several dozen troops from the U.S. military's Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), unnamed senior administration officials said.
