An Egyptian court has sentenced in absentia a police officer to death for killing protesters during the January revolution, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Monem was found guilty late Sunday of shooting 23 protesters rioting outside a Cairo police station on Jan. 28.
