Counter-Intelligence Agency Under Budget Gun

The Czech Republic's civilian counter-intelligence agency, BIS, is under budget pressure and is expected to cut staff and salaries as part of a government austerity campaign, reports the Czech News Agency.
The agency's budget is being cut by US$4.1 million for 2011. Experienced agents may well be lost, according to Jiri Lang, the BIS chief.
Opposition lawmakers maintain that the cuts could threaten Czech security, according to local media.
