The state government of West Bengal in the eastern part of India plans to establish three counter-insurgency training schools with the assistance of some federal government funding, reports the Calcutta Telegraph.
The training schools will be located in the Maoist-hit areas of West Midnapore and Purulia, as well as in the northern part of the state, according to police officials.
State officials requested federal support for the schools several months ago.
