Council Of The E.U. Commits To Joint Defense Cooperation

The Council of the European Union has just adopted a decision establishing the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) plan for E.U. member states.
The council, which represents the governments of the member states, adopted the decision on Monday, less than a month after receiving a joint notification by member states of their intention to participate, said a council release on Dec. 11.
On Nov. 13, 23 member states signed a joint notification and delivered it to the council....
