In Cost-Saving Effort, 4 Transports Dropped From Order

Greece has scrapped an order for four C-27 transport planes, reports Agence France-Presse.
The planes were part of a 12-aircraft order made in 2007, said officials. Eight transports have already been delivered. Only one is operational.
The remaining part of the order, worth 50 million euro (US$66 million), was cut as part of Greece's public spending program, said government officials.
The contract was cancelled last Thursday after a Cabinet meeting, a source said.
