Converted Jetliners To Help Pull Troops From Afghanistan

The Royal Air Force will use two BAE 146 jetliners bought from Belgium for military transport duties, reports Defense News.
BAE Systems has been awarded a 15.5 million pound (US$19.6 million) contract to convert the commercial aircraft for military cargo and passenger operations in theater, said government officials.
The planes were bought earlier in a separate deal.
The contract was filed as an urgent operational requirement, requiring delivery by March.
