The Thai government is considering several controversial major projects before the retirement of army chief Gen. Anupong Paojinda in September, reports the Bangkok Post.
Plans call for, among others, the creation of a new infantry division and the purchase of 121 armored personnel carriers and a reconnaissance airship.
