Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says his government is negotiating a replacement for the 1995 Status of Forces arrangement with the U.S., reports Agence France-Presse.
Wickremesinghe told Parliament on Wednesday that talks between the two nations were ongoing for a new agreement that would permit their armed forces to access each other's ports and airports with fewer formalities.
