Contract Let For Iveco Heavy Trucks

Italian defense firm Iveco Defense Vehicles says it has been awarded a contract to supply multi-role military vehicles to the French armed forces.
Iveco is teamed with French company Soframe, a subsidiary of the Lohr group. The program will manufacture and assemble body and chassis equipment.
An initial order worth 160 million euros (US$214 million) covers 200 vehicles, with options for up to 2,400 vehicles worth a total of 800 million euros (US$1 billion).
