Contract Awarded To Replace Special Ops Osprey That Crashed

The Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Bell-Boeing, Amarillo, Texas, a contract to replace an Air Force CV-22 tiltrotor aircraft that crashed last week, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $74.4 million contract covers one CV-22 combat-loss replacement aircraft for the service, according to a Pentagon release.
Work under the contract will be performed mainly in Philadelphia and Amarillo. It is scheduled to be completed in November 2014.
