Construction Starts On Corvette At Amur Yard

The Amur shipyard in Russia's Far East has begun construction on the sixth Steregushchiy-class corvette, reports Interfax-AVN.
The Gromky will be the second ship in the class built at the shipyard in Vladivostok, said shipyard officials.
The Sovershenny, the first built at the Amur shipyard, is scheduled to be delivered to the Pacific Fleet in 2013.
Delivery of the Gromky will follow in 2015, the officials said.
