Construction Officially Begins For New Landing Helicopter Dock

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has just cut the first steel for a new landing helicopter dock for the Italian navy.
The milestone took place on July 12 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia, the company said in a release.
The ship is about 656 feet (200 m) long with a top speed of 25 knots. It will be powered by a combined diesel and gas turbine system.
