Russia expects to launch construction of its first two helicopter carriers later this year, reports the Tass news agency (Moscow).
A keel-laying ceremony at Zaliv shipyard in Crimea will coincide with the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe day on May 9, said an industry source.
The defense ministry has yet to confirm the date.
