Concept Unveiled For Small Sub Suited For Shallow Waters

French shipbuilder DCNS has revealed a new submarine concept.

The SMX-26 is a small sub designed to operate in very shallow waters that are not typically accessible for conventional submarine operations, according to a DCNS release at the Euronaval show in Paris earlier this month.

The boat will be able remain on the sea bed for long periods, monitoring the environment, before conducting an attack, said the shipbuilder.
