Computer Glitch Affects Supersonic Missile Test

A new Taiwanese supersonic anti-ship missile failed to hit its target during a routine naval drill earlier this week, Agence France-Presse reports.

The Hsiung Feng (Brave Wind) III missile, designed to cruise at a maximum speed of Mach 2.0 at a range of up to 80 miles, suffered a computer glitch, said Defense Ministry officials on Tuesday.

Taiwan started to deploy the Hsiung Feng III on its warships last year.
