The British government is about to reverse a proposed decision to cut 20 million pounds (US$33 million) from the budget of the reserve Territorial Army, reports the Times of London.
The decision to reduce funding came under harsh fire, with reservists saying the cuts would hurt their ability to perform their duties.
Armed Forces Minister Bill Rammell said Monday that 2.5 million pounds would be provided for weekly training events, a move also publicly derided.
