A U.N. committee has deferred a decision on whether to accept representatives from the Taliban and military junta in Burma, reports Bloomberg News.
On Wednesday, the Credentials Committee of the General Assembly held a closed-door meeting to address the applications by the Taliban government in Afghanistan and Burma to occupy seats at the U.N., reported the New York Times.
The panel elected to defer its decision on the credentials in both cases, said Swedish Ambassador to the U.N....
