The commander of the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, has been relieved of duty, reports the Air Force Times.
Lt. Col. Jason Heard was removed from his post on Nov. 20 by Brig. Gen. Jeannie Leavitt, the commander of the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
Heard has commanded the unit since Jan. 6.
