Commander Linked To Al-Qaida Hit By Roadside Bomb

A commander of the Al-Qaida-linked Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham rebel group has been badly injured in a roadside bombing in Syria's western Hama province, reports the Al-Masdar News, an online Middle East publication.
Abu Yousef Helfaya was traveling through the Barisha mountains in eastern Hama on Thursday night when his vehicle hit the bomb, according to opposition activists.
Helfaya was then treated at a local field hospital. His status was not known.
