The commander of a U.S. Navy minesweeper based in Bahrain has lost her job amid a misconduct investigation, reports the Navy Times.
Capt. Keith Knutsen, the head of Mine Countermeasures Squadron 3, fired Lt. Cmdr. Linda McCauley as commanding officer of the Dextrous (MCM-13) on Thursday after "a loss of confidence in her ability to effectively lead and carry out her assigned duties," according to a release from Naval Surface Force Pacific.
