Coastline Protected By New Surveillance System

ITT Exelis, a California defense firm, says it has installed and completed preliminary acceptance testing of a new radar designed to enhance coastal surveillance in Sweden.

The systems are based on the LCR-2020 radar and its integrated coastal surveillance system, the SABER 2020, say ITT Exelis officials.

Swedish authorities have already validated the interfaces between the radar and the command-and-control system.
