The U.S. Coast Guard says it has bolstered operations in the Western Pacific in support of partner nations, reports Bloomberg News.
A Coast Guard presence in the South China Sea and elsewhere will help enforce the sovereignty of partner countries in areas of territorial disputes with China, according to Vice Adm. Linda Fagan, the Coast Guard commander for the Pacific.
