A Coast Guard helicopter evacuated a submarine crewman in need of medical attention Tuesday from his boat off the coast of Washington, the Navy Times reports.
After the Navy contacted the Coast Guard for assistance, the Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew.
The helicopter, a variant of the Navy's SH-60, hoisted the crew member by basket from the sail of the submarine, and transferred him to Oregon Health and Science University...
