The U.S. Coast Guard is considering longer deployments to Oceania following a successful mission to American Samoa and Samoa earlier this year, reports USNI News. In August, the Coast Guard sent the buoy tender Walnut (WLB-205) and fast response cutter Joseph Gerczak (WPC-1126) from Hawaii to Samoa and American Samoa for a 30-day deployment covering about 2,400 miles (3,860 km), Adm.
