The U.S. says it will donate a second ex-Coast Guard cutter to Vietnam, reports the Diplomat (Tokyo).
On Wednesday, U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced the planned transfer during a visit to Hanoi.
The decommissioned vessel will be delivered in 2020.
Washington previously donated a Hamilton-class cutter to Vietnam in 2017.
Earlier this year, the U.S. transferred six patrol vessels and additional equipment worth US$12 million, reported Agence France-Presse.
