Coast Guard Involved In Ship Rescue And Capture Of Pirates

The Seychelles coast guard, with assistance from the European Union Naval Force (EU NAVFOR) has captured 16 suspected pirates over the previous five days, according to an EU NAVFOR release on Tuesday.

Two operations were involved. In each case, E.U. aircraft, including French E-3F and maritime patrol aircraft from Luxembourg, guided coast guard vessels to the site of suspicious vessels.
