For the first time, South Korea's coast guard has opened fire on Chinese fishing vessels illegally operating in the nation's exclusive economic zone, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
On Tuesday, the Chinese boats were seized in the Yellow Sea after a coast guard vessel armed with an M60 machine gun fired warning shots.
